Our modeling work supports many of our planning efforts for: concurrency studies and land use plans; local and regional transportation plans; alternatives evaluation for corridor and regional studies; and environmental assessments and impact analyses.
We recently developed transit ridership forecasts for projects initiated by Community Transit, Sound Transit and WSDOT. Our transit ridership demand modeling incorporates new approaches to transit-oriented strategies. These strategies include Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Transit Signal Priority, and Light Rail Transit (LRT).
We have created customized travel demand models for the cities of Bothell, Kent, Monroe, Lynnwood, Newcastle, Seattle , Shoreline, Tukwila and King County and are currently developing models for Monroe and Kent. We are providing on-call traffic modeling services to the City of Redmond in support of their transportation projects.
We have also developed innovative traffic modeling techniques for WSDOT’s I-405 Corridor Program, including managed lanes and pricing analyses. WSDOT’s Congestion Relief Analysis (CRA) and the Statewide Tolling Study have required our involvement to update the PSRC’s new generation of models and Roadway pricing methodologies.
