Mirai offers expertise and experience in the traffic engineering
analyses and design of modern roundabouts at street intersections. Mirai
designs roundabouts that are not only innovative, but efficient and safe,
allowing more vehicles to pass through with less delay.
Mirai conducts analyses of existing and proposed roundabouts
using the aaSIDRA software and
microsimulation tools such as SIMTRAFFIC and VISSIM. Our staff recently
completed training in the new version of aaSIDRA. We provide the technical
analysis necessary to make informed decisions about future configurations of existing
and proposed intersections. Using Synchro, Simtraffic and Vissim we can forecast
future traffic patterns and operations under different improvement scenarios.
Mirai uses traffic simulations to investigate and evaluate the impact of making
modifications, such as roundabouts, to the transportation network, these tools
are also used to determine the desired geometric configuration and
channelization options for smooth traffic operations of the roundabouts. Our
knowledge of regional and local models has taught us what various models can
accomplish, as well as their limitations.
