City of Redmond Channelization Improvements for NE 85th Street and 164th Avenue NE Corridors

Mirai prepared the traffic analysis for
the City of Redmond's proposed lane
conversion for two corridors - NE 85th
Street and 164th Avenue NE. We
modeled two scenarios, the conversion
of NE 85th Street from 4 to 3 lanes and the conversion of both NE 85th Street and
164th Avenue NE to 3 lanes. The City's EMME/2 model was used for the
existing conditions and future year 2022. Synchro was used to study the LOS
and queuing delays in the corridors and to analyze the operation conditions,
Mirai used the SimTraffic simulation model. The transportation analyses
developed all of the necessary information and statistics to support the technical
foundation for the 4 to 3 lane conversion design.
