Mirai managed an area-wide transportation study to prioritize multi-modal transportation improvements for this Urban Village in Seattle. Mirai Principal Tom Noguchi helped develop funding partnerships with public and private interests working closely with a 22-member stakeholder group. As new development brings more urban density to the Northgate Urban Center, the CTIP’s projects will bring a more balanced transportation system that improves non-motorized options, begins to reconnect Northgate’s neighborhoods, and keeps autos, freight, and bus transit moving safely.
These investments will allow the City of Seattle to make better land use and transportation choices to transform the Northgate Urban Center and provide healthy linkages to the surrounding neighborhoods.
